General Information

For those seeking to learn more about Freemasonry, there is a wealth of information — and, sadly, some mis-information — easily available to you on the Internet.  If you have an open mind and seek a balanced view, we recommend that you first read the text published on Wikipedia (there is a link on Page 4 of this web site), and if you feel so inclined, follow some of the links provided by that web site.

A short talk was given at the Festive Board after the February 2008 meeting, together with a presentation.  For those of you with PowerPoint, a copy of the presentation may be found here.  The title "Family and Profession or Lodge" was a theme provided by the Grand Lodge, and itself prompted the speaker to prepare this presentation; he felt that it was misleading and implied fixed alternatives.  In his presentation , he explains his view that all life's activities must be balanced, and that Masonry extends a man's capacity to embrace these activities.  You may also request a copy of his notes from the Secretary.

If you are a Mason and you'd like to visit us, whether to actively participate or simply to watch, please let us know.
